I also snapped pictures of the creek in the back of the house which normally cant be seen because it drops off so much at the end of the yard. As you can see, that much rain makes it easy to see even from the house. When I was a kid, the trees behind the house were so thick that you couldnt see the house on the other side which is no longer there and you definitely couldnt see the main road running into Friendswood. Now however so many of the trees have been cleared out to improve drainage that the road that was invisible now looks close enough to reach out and touch.
The top picture was my attempt to catch something that I only see at Mom and Dad's. After a rain storm they get this amazing green glow over everything as the sun comes out. I loved it when I was a kid and never, ever see it where I am so I felt blessed to be there and get a picture even though the picture doesnt even begin to show just how beautiful this phenomenon is.
